... is located in the village of Kanzem at the Saar-River (wine region Mosel). In 1889 the winery was founded by our ancestor Heinrich-Joseph Patheiger from Trier. His name was carried on into the time when the winery was leased from the 1950s on. In 1994 Franz-Josef and Annette Frey restarted the family winery.
Today, two family- generations design the future of the winery (and the UNIMOG 411 assists us).
Growing Riesling and Weißburgunder (White Burgundy) our wine business is based on typical regional grape wines. These are best adapted to soil and climate of our steep slate stone hillsides.
